Main Street and most of the parking area to the side of Moose Pharmacy and the front of Buddy’s will be closed. On Monday, July 21, the Town’s water plant operations will shut down for approximately two months in order to perform the necessary maintenance and improvements to resolve issues with organics and disinfection byproducts. While the connection with Concord will be able to provide adequate water for regular usage, the cost to provide the water during this time period will be higher than the amount that it costs for the Town to produce water for its customers. Additionally, tank levels are being constantly monitored to ensure that adequate water is available for both usage and fire flow for both Concord and Mount Pleasant. The Town requests that water customers exercise voluntary conservation efforts and limit water usage to what is absolutely necessary during this time. Main Street, as well as the western section of Crestwood Drive at the White Owl Antique Mall.  Waterline is currently being installed on Highway 49 between Main Street and Highway 73.  The waterline installation on Empire Drive was delayed several weeks.  A new installation date has not be provided by the contractor yet.  Waterline installation on Highway 73 (Franklin Street) will begin in July.
